Two Hundred And Seven Years Ago - On The Night Of 8 January 1811 Poem by James B. Earley

Two Hundred And Seven Years Ago - On The Night Of 8 January 1811

Year 1811 slaves.....uprising
.....America's......sordid history
Kaepernick was not the first we see....
To have taken...anguished bended knee

......Heads on poles...is it not the role
ISIS learned through perusing old.....
American history books...where slaves were sold
......Bended knees....headless....bodies cold

Compassion nary a moment's trace
....Preaching to....."Right's" putrid base
Bulbous buffoon...'tis hatred's cartoon
...Ranting...taunting hypocrites tune
*
*
Kaepernick was not the first...historically
.....On that proverbial......bended knee
Rebellious Indians....slave uprisings
......Just folks protesting - bigotry
