Two Facets Of Words Poem by Ananta Madhavan

Two Facets Of Words

To write is to learn the dual facets of words.
First one sets down a random trend of thought
In phrases which refine the thought itself;
Contrariwise, the chosen words seem too loosely meshed
To retain the nuances of shaded feelings,
The oddity of personal fancy.

It is like catching a cloud in a fishing net.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When I try to set down an image or a fancy in words, I feel glad I am trying to write, but the words seem to escape: like catching a cloud in
a fishing net!
