Twisted Love Poem by Lacie Hebert

Twisted Love

In a world where love's a maze,
I found myself in a wild daze,
Lost in a love I couldn't resist,
But he's a married man, love's a twist.

Confusion fills my heart and mind,
Caught between desire and what's right,
His wife, she holds his hand so tight,
Leaving me feeling lost in the night.

We shared stolen moments, secret smiles,
But the truth cuts deep like a thousand miles,
I see the love he has for his wife,
And it breaks me, stabs me like a knife.

We're getting older, time's slipping away,
But I can't keep living in this charade,
I'll find the strength to let go and move on,
For my heart deserves a love that's strong.

Oh, I'm loving him, but he's taken,
Torn between two hearts, love forsaken,
Anger burns, but love still remains,
In this forbidden game, I'm a prisoner in chains.

I'll find my way, though I'm feeling lost,
Through the pain and tears, I'll pay the cost,
For love should be free, not tied in a knot,
I'll find my peace, even if I'm left with a lot.
