Twilight Poem by Kayanja Ronald Edwin

Twilight

It was the sense of control,
That she held the light for her soul,
Walking in the dark,
Blind to her illusions
That every step was right,
And the future was but a place,
Of abundance in riches,
Joy, a bliss for the heart
And a forever quenched thirst,
In arms of a strong love

Oh! A beautiful dream,
Where desires met perfection,
And wore robes of deception,
Chaining her heart,
With rings of black roses,
prickles bleeding veins,
To leave but a withered soul
The red in her eyes,
As she watched the sun fall,
Into a twilight, a true reality
