Twenty Four Cans Of Peaches Poem by Kelvin Rush

Twenty Four Cans Of Peaches

Twenty four cans of peaches
Bound for the officers mess
I stole a can it was found under my bed
So reluctantly I had to confess

I was whipped ten times for my crime
Then spoon-fed lice and leeches
But despite the pain I had no regrets
It was worth it for those juicy peaches
