Turnings In Life... Poem by Dinu Thomas Kuttamparambil

Turnings In Life...

Rating: 5.0

When I was a child, I wished to become as you people...
not even realizing how stressful the life would be...
I was totally carried away by the nasty freedom they enjoyed.

But when I grew up, I came across many hurdles
which made me think the days I spent as a little girl...
the child who clung to her affectionate father,
the stubborn baby who screamed for little things...

You better understand that things change,
now I feel I am like a corpse...
life has become a silent graveyard
and in all sense no one to scream or to be possessive about...

How far you try to run away...
Life has its own destiny, where your plans fail and it's all fate...
But still mask it with a smile on your face....
