Turbulence From The Inside Poem by diana rose tolentino

Turbulence From The Inside

How can you appease my anger,
hot like a fueled fire?
How can you calm my fury,
Raging and storming wild?
How can I abate this feeling
I long so hard to subside?
How can I hold back the tears,
Threatening to free from my eyes?
Unfortunate is the one who will try
to unleash my hidden soul,
Bound tightly by self woven chains
Wrapped around this scarred empty heart.
Unfortunate is the one who will quit
Before my true self can be freed.
Because he can never know
The kind of love I can ever bestow.
Blessed is the one who succeed to slay my dragons.
Fortunate is the only one who can melt my frozen core.
Gifted would be the one to whom I will lay my armor down.
For when all is said and done,
I can love right back, a million folds in a lifetime.
