It’s a rainy & cold night,
The stars aren’t shinning all that bright,
I look to the sky to see where you are,
Because the truth is I miss you.

I miss the times when I could just have you there to hug,
You used to call me your little bug.
Everyone I have ever truly loved has been taken away from me,
It’s like I’m not supposed to be happy.

My heart still weeps every time I think of you,
My eyes still water when I need you the most.
I wouldn’t be here without you, Literally.
Everyone says I should let go,
I have but I’m not letting my memories of you fade.

I sit in this room gathered by people,
Yet I feel so alone & sad,
Because I know you’re not here to keep me company,
You’re not here to give those hugs that I so desire,
Those sweet soft kisses on the cheek that I miss.

My life is a mess,
Always has been you could say,
I write & write to try to make the pain just go away,
I feel good at times and then I get put down rather easily,
My mood swings never help.

I look around this world today,
I see children just rushing to play,
Adults letting the kids have fun anytime,
Just to get some quiet time.

No one is perfect in this world,
Not me, not you not anyone that you can think of.

We hold many people close to our heart,
In hope that they don’t leave us.
So don’t leave us all broken inside.
