Your words can hurt me
but its the secrets that made me cry.
I deserve better than
a love based on a lie.

You showed up with that smile
and cast me under your spell.
I thought this was real
but you tricked me so well.

You kept me believing
and kept leading me on.
I made you my everything
but now you are gone.

You said you cared about me
but it's another lie I've been told.
The truth does hurt
but its the lies that turn the heart cold.
