Trust Me Poem by Ishmael Onserio

Trust Me

Trust me as I hold the steering wheel of this desired forward march,
Trust me as I search in deep waters for a well-defined resting place,
It takes a sweat, it's a mind brawling campaign, it needs lots of trust,
Track me, hold a lubricious hem of the dwindling hope along this way,
Let's search in the dark clouds and feel the warmth of the rising sun,
Trust me as the wheels of our carriage stagger, there's a strong latch,
Close your eyes if your heart gets mauled, your fears will be as trace,
After a short while if you grow your vision on fields of trust with lust,
Deter that mortal tongue and enjoy the ride from heart, not as play,
Trust me all the way if your soul is surely tailored for this tiring run,
Even so, trust me as fate voids our journey at the heights of our faith.

Trust me as I juggle in mud to bring the diminishing light to live anew,
Trust me as I look for tomorrow's fortune to satisfy your ravenous ego,
Don't lose hope for the day's laboring hand shall solemnly acknowledge,
The holy torrents revering a life that laid on icy sheets toiling as a seal,
Trust me as I lay in stillness to structure my next course for your repose,
Don't bite my hastening feet at the wake of your disillusionment so true,
Trust me as darkened days scour away your memories like on a free go,
Let your eye focus fully as you tread on paths marking a strangled pledge,
Trust me as my sore arms shield your bare brow from litanies in that reel,
Trust me as your living heights are ushered to a desired strange foreclose,
Even so, trust me as gusty torrents subdue this inspiration with wrath.
