Trust Is Given
I sought after faithfulness
Realized I cannot ask for it
My loyalty, really earnest
But love lost to selfishness
She meant the world to me
But she valued me less
A friend I wanted to bless
Coached her, somebody to be
She made a choice for another
Painful reality, I have to face
Life’s trust lesson, I traced
Even the most loved is not a giver
