Truly A Mammon Poem by Raymond Cabrera

Truly A Mammon

If all the worlds be alike the greed of a Mammon,
Sleeping on a bed of money, fame, riches and so on
Grasp on his greedy wants of shining jewel,
As of gold, diamonds and ever pearl
And yet of wicked deeds, and yet so cruel.

For men like them will truly seek for more;
Fame; so as they’ll pass the folks would roar,
With the riches they ever wanted to be,
Of endless wealth on their hands
This let people stare on them with envy.

A man who have his greedy desires out show,
Behind the tricks of evil, they could be a foe
On the every fake smiles at midnight party
Raucously gulping food and wines,
Spending all what they’ve got in such gluttony.

A man like them who are hungry for power to rule,
Such selfishly desires over ignorant and fool
They only dream to taste every woman at bed
By their lustful greed to suit their selves
Full of trickery, deceit and promises they’ve said.

And be aware to this kind of a foolish mortal,
For they were garish on money and lose moral
And thought they can buy everything with their wealth
Because when severe illness or death comes
Truly a mammon would only seek for eternal health.
