True Omissions Poem by Steven Elsner

True Omissions

True omissions of the brain
Are those which should be kept
For they can never be used for personal gain
Those which hear all have wept

True omissions of the heart
Are things to be spoken
No one knows when they stop or start
Can alleviate pain or keep them chokin'

True omissions of the mouth
Are known for its deception
Yet the truth may seep and lead south
It leaves people guessing in every direction
