Hey troubled teen
Where you are I too have been
My favourite words to share
'I don't care'

Being told what to do with my life
Always ending up in strife
I just wanted to hang out with me mate
Not worried about my future or fate

Adults always in my ear
Trying to instil in me fear
I was more worried about my hair
For what they said 'I didn't care'

Now when I look at my past
I don't know how I did last
To make it to an adult now
I really don't know how

So next time adults are in your ear
Trying to instil some fear
Remember they've been there too
And they're just caring about you.........
