An exemplary man, you surely were;
Your neat attire, courteousness superb
Displayed a person wise and experienced!

You climbed each rung of life's ladder so well;
Your style of functioning was praise-worthy;
You braved the storms that came across your way;
You left your feats on time's gold pages, etched!

A role-model to other bureaucrats,
Your spirit roams the Secretariat;
Astoundingly performing every task,
In glory of retirement, you bask!

Kudos to an Indian par excellence!
Thanks to your era of silent success;
Congratulations to a gentleman;
May God bless you with life-time's health and wealth!
