Tributaries Of Blood Poem by William Waterway

Tributaries Of Blood

I found my love clinging to river's edge
stirring soft shimmer of misty morning
permeated by plethora of singing birds

Rhythmic pulsing water dances across round
river stones - glistening to touch of filtered twilight
My thoughts scatter like a frightened flock as
millions of wings thrum synaptic cleft of air

I draw breath filled with ether, dust, sound, color
like an empty bellows swirling ephemeral to
ignite fires in endless tributaries of blood
