Tresses Poem by Reynaldo Casison

Tresses

Rating: 5.0

You get lost in her hair
You get lost in her hair
You get lost in her hair
In its waves of vineyard
Majesties

You get lost in her hair
You get lost in her hair
She loves the way
The wind caresses it
Unconditionally
With the fingers of it balm
With the breadth of its love

You get lost in her hair
The way it is reminiscent
Of mermaid splendors

You get lost in her hair
Like a painter
gets lost in the canvas,
Eyes all starry

You get lost in her hair
You fall in love with her,
With her luminous being
As you fall in love with
Yourself
Awed by the embrace
Of its magic

You get lost in her hair
How the moonlight
Frolics in the beauty
Of its dark avenues

You get lost in her hair
How the sunbeams
Accentuate its
Flowing waves

You get lost in her hair
In its fields of lillies
And daises

You get lost in her hair
She keeps a sunflower
In it
For the loving wind,
Crescent moon,
And your shy love
