Tremors Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Tremors

Rating: 5.0

Felt those tremors
After he died
At first thought
He's not gone
Coming back
Woke up sober
To the terror
Pa cursed God
Not the same
Ma cried more
Not the same
Church home for Ma
Bars home for Pa
Home not the same
Without Gerard

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Rajnish Manga's response to Lost Family was the inspiration behind this poem. Although I had written other poems with this theme, this one made the series more complete. A debt of gratitude to Rajnish!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I never knew that a word from me could stir a poet's mind so much as to come out with a terrific composition in an on-going series. I am truly honoured and humbled by the way you have given credit to me for the same. My grateful thanks to you, Richard.

Rajnish, you and some of the other PH poets have greatly inspired me. My small way of saying thanks is to write a poem. If it turns out to be powerful, then that's icing on the cake. I am indebted to you and them. All of you have given so much of yourselves. Your continued support and encouragement are guarenteeing this book to be a success. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! ! !

Richard, I am sorry for being late on this poem which to me is one of the most powerful work in the series. As the title of the poem suggests, the tremor did not stop at the loss but It carries the impact quite far and wide. The artist's parents have suffered the most just as those in his close circle.

No need to be sorry, Rajnish. This poem, along with the other Gerard poems, seem to be amongst the most powerful in the series. Although the parents did suffer the most, Jack's suffering is not to be undermined. He lost a brother. A friend. And a great role model!

Amazing, Richard. The presentation reads and reminds me of verse that does not flow easily, but one that comes as each individual word is ripped from the psyche. A terrific work, and it goes right to myfavourites.

M.J., I am humbled and greatly flattered. To be on your favs list is not only an honour, but a good omen for my book. O.K., I'm slightly superstitious.
