Trapped In A Cage Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Trapped In A Cage

I'm like an animal trapped in a cage,
I can feel my anger turning into rage.
I have to break on out and get loose,
Before my neck gets caught in a noose.

I'm like an animal trapped in a cage,
Being displayed under a spotlight on stage.
I'm always under so much scrutiny,
And it's time for me to start a mutiny.

I'm like an animal trapped in a cage,
And the world will soon feel my rampage.
I have no choice but to become violent,
But only until my heart is content.
