Translucent Seven Lines

Rating: 5.0

it will fleet
after the mist
and droplets of rain.

how i wish
to gaze outside the window pane,
indulging myself
with the translucent fairy-gifts,
showered by dampness.

the seven coloured lines
arranged by pretty order.

red, orange, yellow, green
blue, indigo, and zeal violet

ruby for red

and warm orange gem,
glowing bright.

lucky yellow,
the golden beryl.
grant me a wish
shooting star heliodor

emerald green
always the favour of queen
too intimidating
and oppressing

blue is, aquamarine
imitated by topaz blue.
blue is,
everything but foreign.

indigo azurite
the colour of midnight
the opposite of raven
illuminating the heaven

mysterious violet
for dear amethyst,
declined by a witch
confused of which

seven colours
to seven stones,
the fragrance
intoxicating.

please don't wither
rainbow oh rainbow
ashamed not
by the rain.
