Tragic Endings Poem by Kelly Zion

Tragic Endings

Feed me catnip, lay on my dragon
throw my troubles down the cliff;
a thousand stories all used up;
highland plights, fairytales, and love
sing me a tune, I'll hop off for you,
hop off my saddle to the distant deep blue
fall off the castle, fly to the moon
no tension, no pressure, nobody but you
no dragon, no Devil, no place in this world
call me, lure me to my doom
my dragon, their devil, your heart is true
at peace with my fate it's too late now we know
Marilyn, your princess is suicidal prone.

Feed me catnip, play in traffic
hopscotch to a 'Bullet' tune
take my hand, like friends still can
and I'll hop off for you, I wish (I can)
Tame this tension, lift this pressure
escape this bitter, empty world
leave my castle, find my dragon
prince charming, you go to Hell
I'm so happy with tragic endings
I've re-written all my fairytales.
