Tough Love Poem by Smiling Inside

Tough Love

Rating: 4.0

I've led a senseless life,
years passed by and I grew up,
suddenly I made a dive,
into a devilish cup,

during my war,
against all these demons,
I saw one sparkling star,
one without any exceptions,

he's the one I trust the most of all,
he's the one I love the best,
he'll pick me up when I fall,
he's the one I love the fullest,

still I'm fighting these wars,
feels like an unending trip,
untill we end where we started,
this bright sparkling stars,

Hello again Sara, This a great poem, and you're right the world is a warzone and mindfield that must be trodden with care... and those special people in your life make it all worth living! Very nicely expressed and I can feel the joy and love you have imprinted in this for your loved one. They must be proud. Some of us have to grow up quickly and reality can be all too much to bear but in the end such love and care will pull through. I only have two things to say though... I think the title needs revising, and I think you meant it to say Through Love? Also second line in your second stanza, it should read against 'all' these demons, just two small typos there but otherwise a fine poem. Keep releasing your emotions and funnelling them to the page. Dale :)
