Touching It With Thought Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Touching It With Thought

the world
growing into his head
he touches it with thought

he remembers the things
that others wouldn't
even notice

shadows & sunlight shadows&sunlight
battle it out
to be the moment that is

a sky attempting to be
blueish
fades to grey

emerging from the shadows
a piece of silence
becoming sound

the room was quiet
as if silence
had got locked inside

the front door opened
a world of noise
invaded the little room

the little room
stuffed to the brim
with darkness

the street naked
peopleless
with not even a cat
