Too Late Poem by Anonymous Ghurl

Too Late

Hello? Hello? Is anyone here?
Voices surround me; they laugh and they jeer
Off stone floors and stone wall, the voices ring out
To cover them up I scream and I shout
Boulder, they cover the mouth of the cave
And though I am shaking, I try to be brave
No light can enter betwixt the grey stone
On the outside, a pillar, but I'm scared to the bone
Under the rock-fall and covered in dust
A positive outlook's a definite must
My hope starts to fade like the sun in the west
I fall to the gorund, say I gave it my best
I lay on the floor, rest my head on my hand
And though rescue comes, I find I can't stand
The searches are too late for down in the deep
I close my eyes and I finally sleep
