Tomorrow Is Here, Mr. Huxley Poem by Timmy Curran

Tomorrow Is Here, Mr. Huxley

Deleting yesterday
into outer space
Holding on to
letter structures
that brought you
to that place
Culture, structure
too amusing
there's no confusing
this age of consuming

Did she know that
in America she was
bound to stand up
in countless lines,
to waste so much time
Give and take all
to the music
push and compute
and they dance

Slowly caught up
feelings looted,
all their doing
caught in the now
Wear the perfume
drink the kool aid
take the first day
stretch it til it snaps
