Tomorrow Poem by Fayad Jamis

Tomorrow

Cats pigeons numb
Morning light from the skylight
cut objects in two
Cats corretearán again
about glass ceilings
the pigeons will shake its wings
against the dirty sky
On the table hard bread books the Inkwell
every day fly
and a terrible craving for freedom
on the table, on my shoes up to the sky
resplendent in Cuba
Come to me yesterday I will tell you tomorrow
the smell of strawberries fill my heart
It's hot there is wind
I drank coffee beer
My soul is a great Bay
where there is a boat that will be
