To Your Question Ross Poem by Francis Duggan

To Your Question Ross

I am stuckfor a reply to your question Ross
Of what a real man is i feel at a loss
On such a question no unanimous agreement this between us two
The true answer to this you will find in you

To you does a real man have big arms covered in tattoos
Who goes bush hunting with his staghounds shooting deers, pigs and kangaroos
And at night in the pub has his mates laughing loud
At his hunting stories he feels rather proud

Or is your real man a bloke who earns a hard buck
On the highways and freeways driving a big truck
On the roadways often far north to far south
He has many journeys forto talk about

Or is your real man a crossdresser, a transgender or gay
Who what he is from others does not hide away
He may not be hairy chested, broad shouldered or looking tough
But to show his real selfhe sure seems man enough

Or is your real man one to goodness inclined
A spiritual type quite compassionate and kind
Who to help others often goes out of his way
And performs a good deed or two every day

Or is your idea of a real man a multi millionaire or billionaire
Though their sort nowadays are no longer that rare
Or a celebrity entertainer or a sporting superstar
Many do judge a man by his home or his car

I am stuck for a reply to your question Ross
Of what a real man is i feel at a loss
On such a question nounanimous agreement this between us two
The true answer to this you will find in you.
