To Whomever It May Concern Poem by Grant House

To Whomever It May Concern

Rating: 5.0

I lost you when you changed your name
I never can remember your new one
And the old one left town with no forwarding address

But the feeling of you
Your imprint
The mark you made on my heart
Is indelibly written there
Chiseled on this stone in my chest

You are part of who I am and who I am becoming
Your name left me
But who you are
Claimed me for its own.

In gratitude
I remain
Yours
Forever
