I have a dear friend across the sea,
That always has kind words for me.
She is a sweet and gentle soul,
With a loving heart made of pure gold.

She reads my poems, and is always kind,
Her loving words give peace of mind.
Never a harsh word has she put forth,
Which tells you something of her worth.

And now my friend, I hear you are ill,
And you are in my heart, as I take up quill.
To tell you that in our prayers you'll be,
Until from all illness you are free.

It seems Wendy I've known you so long,
So I'll ask the good lord to make you strong.
That you may continue to write your songs,
Cause with the great ones you belong.

But not just yet, God bless you Wendy,
Get well soon,
