To the one that got away
my heart once sang of you
I courted every moment
when we could be together
your beauty is unique
in spirit and form, magical
I miss you, daily
I miss those opportunities
of being beside you
how you look
your eyes shining
your smile lighting the room
and your voice a song
I wish I could have heard it more
yet time stole that dream
and the days watched you disappear
although you are lost
I still think of you from time to time
and I smile, dream a little
