To The Girl That Lived In Me Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

To The Girl That Lived In Me

Rating: 5.0

This poem portrait
I now paint this page
This night is
Not intended for the girl
That sits unconcerned
At the other end of the scene,
But for that sweet young girl
That once adored me,
The one that would accept
With wide-spread eyes
My loving brush
That would paint a portrait
Move on her every limb
Being offered to me...

This love-sewn song
I now share on my santoor
This night is
Not intended for the girl
That sits unexcited
At the other end of the stage,
But for that craving crazy girl
That once lived in me
The one that would pick up
With wide-opened lips
My praising notes
Pass on her every limb
That would store a song
Being sung to me...

Lovely. Lots of innuendos ending excitement to the poem. Allusions to carnality really giving poem sensuality. Well done.
