My poet friend Bri
wanted to know from me
about h-index
and i-10 index.
Probably many of
my researcher friends
are not poets
and many of
my poet friends
are not researchers!
But I am fortunate
to be a poet and
a researcher as well.
h-index means
the h number
of papers cited
h-number of times.
For example,
you have published
100 papers but
your 14 papers
have been cited
14 or more than
14 times,
then your h is 14
Similarly,1-10
is a Google Scholar metric!
Your number of papers
cited 10 or more than
10 times!
My 20 papers
have been cited
10 or more than
10 times so my
i-10 is 20.
What is a citation?
If a researcher
cites your work
and that is published online
your paper will get 1 citation.
If 122 researchers
cite your specific paper
then it will be reflected
in Google Scholar
as cited by 122.
My top paper
has so far received
122 citations!
I hope my poet friend Bri
could now understand
what I wrote about
my h-index and i-10 index
in one of my poems!
