To My Invisible Ghost Poem by Shazia Rose

To My Invisible Ghost

My invisible ghost
Carry me over the
Rivers of insanity
Help me my spirit to face the
Faces in the mob
Which cry out loud
‘easier dead than punctual’
As time rushes past

In the eyes of a child there are wonders a seven million
Which slightly prompt on and on
‘hope prevails and overshadows despair’
It then loudly echoes in the vale
That there is not and never
A happily ever after
