Oh Melpomene! I don't want anything from you,
Since you are the Muse of tragedy,
That in my life is nothing new!
I have been suffering already!

Yet I must request you humbly,
For one reward to be given,
In fact I require your blessing plentifully,
Especially the blessing from heaven!

Give me the eminence you bestowed on Shakespeare,
Let me write undying tragedies right now right here!
