To Marcy Poem by jerlyn eguia

To Marcy

Rating: 5.0

just this afternoon as i drive my car
back home from the office
as usual, i see you too walk alone
the sidewalk of the mall

your shoulder droops and there
are wrinkles on your forehead
you look on the path and never look back
neither do you look forward
it is just looking down perhaps finding
your own way of taking the silence

your hands are empty still
slowly, you take the sorrows
sipping what sadness is left
in the air

i accelerated the car not wanting to see some more
of you
not wanting to see more of myself too
in you

we're inside the same world
love inside a vacuum
