To Mam Poem by Melanie Candy

To Mam

I’m feeling low
Tears are falling
Trying to hide
But thinking of you

Maybe because its Christmas and it’s the time I lost you.

You would think time would heal
But times I feel like I’m missing you
Needing you to give me direction
Can’t tell my left from right

I write lyrics to help me
Danny listens to Westlife to help her through
Even though years have past
You are still close and for your help I call
Please help me
I try to advise her
But I still need you
Can’t you hear me call?
I look at your pictures
Can’t you hear my call?
Take me look after her
Please take me
Take me before suicide
I’m sorry take me
I advise her
Give her a path to follow
Make her believe
But I can’t believe
We need you
She needs you
She was only ten
You left her
You left me
I was a child
What was I to do
Help me mother
Help me through
No one ever will replace you
Take my life
Take my breath
Just ensure she gets her goals
Just help her get through
Just get her to her goals
Get her to her beliefs
