To Love, I Love You Poem by Matthew Holloway

To Love, I Love You

there is no denying
such feelings that will not
dispel, leave, become forgotten
such feelings that sever this connection
a hearts affection holds firm
to the beauty of which it covets
a dream like world of perfection
what could only be
lies the lingering question
of the heart, the hearts emotion
to love and to be loved
without denying it
you and you alone
are the beacon of my heart
and afraid I say it now
I love you entirely
through pain and torment
all such feelings
will not quit
so there I love you
and I am dammed
because of it
