To Love, Fading Away Poem by Emily Reid

To Love, Fading Away

I sit awake at night
Thinking and writing
And writing and drinking
But I know that love
Won't come from dreams
Or scribbles with a lead seem
But I can't seem to get out
Of the complications
And previous dedications
Well now it seems
I'm babbling on
And I've lost my thoughts
And can't write this song

I know, I know, I know
It doesn't work out everytime
And I try, I try, I try
It just doesn't seem to comprehend with mine
My dreams are living alone
They don't seem to know where to go
It's just another premonition
Hitting with another addition to love
To love fading away

Back track and nothing wants to come to back to me
It's just fairy-tales and nightmares endlessly
They seem to want to intertwine
Leaving me with a mixed up sign
I don't if it's turning out good Or bad
It's just complicated
Leading me to be devastated

I know, I know, I know
It doesn't work out every time
And I try, I try, I try
It just doesn't seem to comprehend with mine
My dreams are living alone
They don't seem to know where to go
It's just another premonition
Hitting with another addition to love
To love fading away

Hold on they told me
I just had to let go
Because I get so easily
Overly paranoid when in love
Never again

I know, I know, I know
It doesn't work out everytime
And I try, I try, I try
It just doesn't seem to comprehend with mine
My dreams are living alone
They don't seem to know where to go
It's just another premonition
Hitting with another addition to love
To love fading away
