To Keep This Beauty Alive. Poem by RIC BASTASA

To Keep This Beauty Alive.

the matrix is done
and so all the vines
must follow.
The thread is here
ready for the
binding.
The sunlight is a
delight for all
events yet to happen.
The roof of leaves and
flowers is
a dream of the lawn
The windows of the house
wait in excitement.
Yes, the vines must be
trapped and tied
to follow this matrix
of steel.
The moon is delighted
about what happens
next.
And the time comes
for the final sight.
A roof of leaves and flowers.
The lawn is satisfied.
And so the night party
begins.
The perfume of flowers
spread on the lawn
and the house is deeply
satisfied.
You too must tow the line.
To keep this beauty
alive.
