To Have To Have Not Poem by Amelia Evelyn White

To Have To Have Not

To be wealthy, I do not aspire
To be affluent is my desire.
To be rich, I dare not attain.
To be poor, I do disdain.

What shall I strive for?
Or is it all in vain.
To aspire, to desire
To attain, and or disdain.

To have or to have not,
Is not the answer
To acquire, to inspire
Is my desire.
