To Cdt Poem by Leonard Dantzler

To Cdt

you're my religion, my faith
your eyes hold the depth of a starry night, infinite beauty
I feel like every minute w/o you, some part of me starts to deteriorate
distance has become a cancer and time has become a curse
blessed lips of my angel, you, sing to me a song, a humming birds tune
take flight in my soul but never soar from my heart
stay with me, in my mind, my physical illusion
come play in the rain, live a little, my star, burn bright for me
come lay with me, in a bed of grass, sheets of roses, sleep, my delicate flower
can we surf in the sand and build ocean castles?
can we dine on forever and sit full on eternity?
*sigh, I miss you
*sigh, I miss you more than missing you because missing you just isn't enough
