To Be Alive! Poem by Peter Strugnell

If you roll or if you stagger or if you sway,
forget all obstacles in your way,
don't you stop! at the stares they give,
put away your troubles and live!

It's quite all right to have some fears,
and it's even OK to shed some tears,
but don't you stop! at what it took,
& write your story, rewrite the book.

Chorus
'cause it's with a smile & with a song,
these bad feelings can't last long,
so shake it loose and give me five,
ain't it great to, to be... alive!

There may be things that make you sad,
and there may be times when you feel bad,
but it is time, to turn the page,
and release the songbird from it's cage.
