'Tis Nice To Be Nice Poem by Francis Duggan

'Tis Nice To Be Nice

Speaking in simple language it is nice to be nice
In the way we treat others we do have a choice
For a nasty person one doesn't have to go far
But one thing of them they know who their friends are
Such people do seem just plain bullies to me
But in their obvious flaws great strength their friends do see
Even rude to people they cannot claim to know
Their arrogance and insensitivity in their ruthlessness show
Their kind sad to say too often I do meet
For one or two like them live on every street
Of their narcissistic ways one can't help but feel aware
With them I have nothing in common to share
Though nice people outnumber them by one hundred to one
'Tis nice to be nice when all is said and done.
