Tired Of The Fight Poem by Hillary Unknown

Tired Of The Fight

You don't understand
What I'm trying to say
Maybe it's because
I'd rather run away
Than stand here with you
Not knowing what to say or do
I wring my hands
As we continue to stand

Pre-Chorus:
The silence screams at me
Telling me to just get it over with
Say what you mean
Stop playing games
He can't read your mind
He doesn't get your hints
Tell him how you're feeling
Because he has no clue:

Chorus:
That I cry myself to sleep every night
That I feel like I'm losing my friend
Who I'm trying to hold onto so tight
That he's slipping from my grasp
That I can no longer see the light
At this tunnel's end

I stare at the ground
As I try to find the words to say
To tell you what's going on
And why I want you to stay
I don't know any anymore
Why I try
When you don't want it
So we continue to stand in our lie

Pre-Chorus:
The silence screams at me
Telling me to just get it over with
Say what you mean
Stop playing games
He can't read your mind
He doesn't get your hints
Tell him how you're feeling
Because he has no clue:

Chorus:
That I cry myself to sleep every night
That I feel like I'm losing my friend
Who I'm trying to hold onto so tight
That he's slipping from my grasp
That I can no longer see the light
At this tunnel's end

Bridge:
My world falls apart
Cuz I don't know how to start
I don't like this part
Because it's like a dart
That you've sent straight into my heart...

Pre-Chorus 2:
The silence is silent
It has no words to say
It knows that you and I
Are better off going our seperate ways
And you had no clue:

Chorus:
That I cried myself to sleep every night
That I knew I was losing my friend
And that's why I held on so tight
That he slipped from my grasp
And that now I've given up trying to find the light
Because I'm tired of this fight
