Tired

I'm all versed out,
It comes no more,
I sit there gazing,
At the floor,
I want to leave,
But don't know how,
I'm tired of fighting,
Here and now,
What is the point?
The game is through,
Can't waste my time,
Just loving you,
It was a dream,
A movie scene,
That motionless,
Stayed on the screen.

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
