[tinsel Of Jester] Poem by Aaron Eliad

[tinsel Of Jester]

tinsel of jester
can ape out a verse
to the head of a hog
like a dog. Damascus can see his stratums
rant at the rate of a freight
talking train claiming
that his house is very warm.

And cartilage of anansi
is part bat. The bandage
of his dress rings red lights of shaker
thumb cymbals impartial
to your hands jumping grids
from broom handles
and mosquito bite operation table
tassel hip agony's all shining out.
what was jester thinking?

drapes all put up with snow clouds
so their knees are warmer.
But first jester
will have to pull his head out of his brain;

in showing rabbit there's nothing to it.

dark magic jackdaw
blots out his paper eyes with tests,
and pulls the rug closer down
so he can pray.
burn in the hands of damascus
and say he is afraid.

Are his consonants all soft
and garishly soothing
so they can be slaughtered in your temple?

To conclude and never complete
and prematurely under the hat,
rather than over the table like a snare
that's been tuned too tightly.
