Time With Just Me Poem by Scott Martin

Time With Just Me

It's not easy one bit,
to live all alone.
No one to talk to,
unless on the phone.

Eating dinner by yourself,
while watching T.V.,
I really don't like,
this time with just me.

One day you are married
with love all around.
The next day alone,
with none to be found.

To be with your children,
each day as they grow.
Then off to a strange place,
one you don't know.

You walk in the door,
and wonder how I got here.
Where are my children,
gone from me like I fear?

Then here come the tears,
pouring down on the face.
As I sit and I wonder,
how to adapt to this place.

I look out the window,
a couple walking I see.
I really don't like,
this time with just me.
