Time To Heal Poem by Holly Moon

Time To Heal

She marches in,
Cold and aloof,
Totally ignores me,
Marches to a colleague,
And like a fool I say hi,
Can't help it,
I'm always too nice.

We might be warring,
But we sure don't show it,
Except by being aloof,
Only the observant can see
But it's too subtle
For the innocent observer.

She marches out and says bye
To no-one and everyone,
But I'm now aloof,
And don't reply.

I meet her later,
She busy and sulking,
I point something out,
And she barely acknowledges,
I walk out
Having said my bit,
Won't waste time or space
Not when she's in this mood.

She'll get over it
When she's good and ready.

Two can play her game,
Hope she realizes,
That I'll only treat her,
Like she treats me,
If she can do without me,
I can do without her twice as much!

I tried to break the ice,
A couple of hours later,
By sms, the modern way,
Said are you ok?
She was out on business,
So her phone was off,
I got a read receipt,
But that is all I got.

Well you can sulk all you like,
Treat me well and I'll treat you better,
I've had it up to here
And there, and everywhere.

If you can't talk to me don't
But if we are to heal, we must.
