Time Stoppers Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Time Stoppers

Stop that passing beam of light
Hold it down with steel ropes
Make it surrender its knowledge
And some of its energy packs
Hold it in a quiet dark room
And interrogate it
Until sunrise
Make it sweat
Make it surrender the ashes from the sun
Stashed in its backpack
And also the moonlight
Brightening its path
Stop that passing beam of light
