Our lives are surrounded by war
Violence, murder, and hatred… what for?
Our Earth's perishing, can take no more
Our ship's sinking, with no sight of shore

No time or energy dedicated for love
No more giving away, just wanting to have
A common notion we'd be lesser if we gave
Despite the fact, none took a thing to the grave
Wide differences… little still brings us together
Acting selfishly as if life lasts forever
Religion, color, race, wealth … who's better
Greed that steers all or sweetness bitter

Are we willing to change our ways…? I doubt
Although we know well … time's running out
